General Duty undercarriage operates in various conditions and built for balance to get the job done. General Duty and Heavy Duty components are interchangeable, eliminating any need for retrofitting, which keeps your machine downtime to a minimum. Cat Heavy Duty shoes can be installed on General Duty link assemblies, making them more flexible to meet your needs.

Cat Abrasion

Cat Abrasion is built on proven Cat Rotating Bushing technology that extends undercarriage wear life. Combined with an advanced proprietary cartridge design that dramatically improves seal ability.

Heavy Duty Extended Life with DuralinkTM (HDXL)

Designed for maximum durability, our HDXL systems are engineered with additional wear material, heat treatment and increased sealability before and after bushing turns. And for your D6, HDXL utilizes Positive Pin Retention 2 (PPR2) technology which mechanically locks the link to resist pin walking and link cracking.

Positive Pin Retention Track (PPR)

For your D8, PPR track features specially machined links and pins that allow for the use of a metal retaining ring that controls end play growth throughout the life of the track.

Cat Track Wear Sensor

The Cat Track Wear Sensor is exclusive to Cat machines and undercarriages.  The Track Wear Sensor monitors the wear on your undercarriage to better predict wear out for easier planning and minimization of downtime. Contact your local Cat dealer to find out if the Track Wear Sensor is available for your undercarriage.​
