Fuel-efficient power for your cat machines
With an industry-leading range from 8.2 to 6,100 kW (11 to 8,180 hp), Cat® engines are tough enough to tackle the world’s harshest environments while being flexible enough to configure to almost any machine.
The Cat family of engines was represented on the MINExpo show floor by three engine displays.
The C175 is one of our strongest and most reliable engines, with more than 22 million hours of operation in a wide variety of applications all over the world. The C175 is optimized for reduced fuel burn, lowering costs and limiting emissions for sustainable performance. It is also available in U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V configurations for use in more strictly regulated areas.
Durable and proven Cat 3512E engines offer high performance and have been proven to withstand the challenging conditions found at mine sites across the globe. Delivering high power output, proven reliability and excellent fuel efficiency, 3512E engines keep machines productive while maintaining a low cost of operation.
Two C32 engines were on display at MINExpo. One had been remanufactured, returning it to like-new performance and quality. The other was a “core,” or an end-of-life part that has been returned to Caterpillar for remanufacturing.
