Known for its spectacular desert mountain vistas and plant life, the Bartlett Reservoir draws more than half a million visitors each year. Since no utility lines extend to the lake or marina, Bartlett Lake is on its own when it comes to supplying power. As a result, Bartlett Lake partnered with Nerd Power and Cat® dealer Empire Southwest to develop a complex hybrid energy solution—including a 400 kW solar array—to replace its existing diesel generators with a more environmentally conscious system.
