The Indian Government announced countrywide curfew on 22nd Mar followed by complete nationwide lockdown till 14th Apr ‘2020 and subsequently extended till 3rd May. NCL (a CIL subsidiary) operation is demographically operating in critical locations with 10 coal mines with HQ in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. And, there came the most challenging and difficult time for Gmmco Singrauli fraternity to support the large fleet of 284 no. CAT fleet comprising of Dragline, ERS, HMS, OHT, LWL, TTT and others, of which 129 nos. were under contract.
Gmmco Singrauli team planned flawlessly to ensure uninterrupted coal production in the nation’s endeavour for uninterrupted power generation, particularly for hospitals & critical services to operate in this very crucial period. With 24x7 support provided, we helped NCL achieve 101.7% & 104.6% of annual Production target of Coal & OB at 108.05 MT Coal & 88.25MCum OB respectively in FY 2019-20. In the process, NCL became first subsidiary of CIL which achieved its annual target of 106.25 MT of Coal Production of 2019-20 on 27th Mar ‘2020, 4 days in advance.
