TUCSON, Ariz., September 21, 2024 – The diesel-electric Cat® R2900 XE load-haul-dump (LHD) loader is built on the R2900G’s platform, Caterpillar’s most popular underground loader. It features optimized lift arm and component geometry plus load-sensing hydraulics to improve breakout force by 35% over the R2900G. The R2900 XE meets the underground mining industry’s needs for bigger payloads, faster loading, reduced exhaust emissions and low total cost of ownership.
