Greater stability

The Cat 340D2 L hydraulic excavator is now more stable and comfortable even in the toughest of work environments with 40.3T and a wider track gauge of +13% compared to the 336D2 L.

Increased Durability

Amongst the new enhancements introduced to the new 340D2 L is an increase in the machine’s durability. Making the machine, compared to the 336D2 L model, even more durable improves reliability and reduces loss-making downtime. Innovations include: reinforced car body and undercarriage, higher ground clearance (+65%) vs 336D2 L.

Greater Comfort

The cab of the Cat 340D2 L in comparison to the 336D2 L, is both spacious and comfortable with easy to operate low-effort pilot-operated joysticks and a pressurisation system to keep everything dust free. Plus, for even greater operator visibility the cab height has been raised +9%.

The new Cat 340D2 L remains at the top of its class by maintaining its reliability, productivity and efficiency credentials with the following additional features: reliability – new filtration system, productivity – 2.69m3 bucket, efficiency – fuel-efficient Cat C9 engine now with lower engine rpm, durability – reinforced boom and stick for heavy duty.
